In late June, the Creek Community lost a devoted coach and family man. Coach Hal Holliday loved Battery Creek High School. Many would say that he “Bled Blue and Gold.” Coach Hal was described as being a committed, caring, dedicated and passionate person who loved his family, football, and the Gamecocks. The Class of 1981 Battery Creek Graduate also spent several years on the sidelines as the Offensive Line Coach for the Creek Football Team. His players loved him and his colleagues loved to coach alongside him.

Coach Hal Holliday was born in Manning, SC and is survived by his parents, three children, one brother, three grandchildren, and 3 step children.

The family asks that donations be made to Beaufort County Disabilities and Special Needs Dept., America Diabetes Association, or Humane Association of the LowCountry.

Coach Hal will always be a part of the Creek Family and will truly be missed!
